The flames of the black mass rise once again. Fully authorized by the band, this definitive 2025 reissue of Rites of the Black Mass has been meticulously remastered by Joe Viers, breathing new life into Acheron’s blasphemous debut with vastly improved sonic depth and clarity.

CD 1 features the remastered 1992 album, produced by Scott Burns, now sounding more menacing than ever—each invocation, each riff, delivered with sharpened intensity.

CD 2 contains the legendary 1991 demo, showcasing a rawer incarnation of the material with Vincent Crowley channeling the grim vocal spirit of Bathory’s Quorthon, giving these early versions a uniquely chilling and primitive energy.

This deluxe edition comes housed in a high-quality 8-panel digipak featuring a completely new layout designed as originally envisioned by Vincent Crowley. Also included is a 16-page booklet with extensive liner notes by acclaimed metal journalist and author David E. Gehlke, based on exclusive 2025 interviews with all three original members of the album. The booklet also includes personal reflections from Vincent Crowley on both the album and the demo era.
